CCTV operators typically do their duties in control rooms that show video from cameras at workplaces, retail locations, or public areas. The CCTV Operator's job is to actively monitor public spaces, track people, and identify risk using the technology in order to keep people and property safe. Employers include corporations, local governments, and security firms.
What Makes a Good CCTV Operator?
Being sensitive and maintaining your focus for short bursts of time are qualities that distinguish a successful CCTV Operator. Always keep in mind that it is your responsibility to identify and stop crimes as early as possible.

Getting your Level 2 CCTV Training qualification is an additional step in getting an SIA Licence if you want to work as a CCTV Operator.
The CCTV training course has two exams and a practical assessment, you must attend an in person course at our Reading, Berkshire venue. The course runs for 3 days.
