Additional Information

What does a CCTV Operator do?

CCTV operators typically do their duties in control rooms that show video from cameras at workplaces, retail locations, or public areas. The CCTV Operator's job is to actively monitor public spaces, track people, and identify risk using the technology in order to keep people and property safe. Employers include corporations, local governments, and security firms.

What Makes a Good CCTV Operator?

Being sensitive and maintaining your focus for short bursts of time are qualities that distinguish a successful CCTV Operator. Always keep in mind that it is your responsibility to identify and stop crimes as early as possible.

A work as a CCTV Operator might be ideal for you if you have the kind of attention to detail that others lack or the ability to read someone's body language. Companies are spending money on cameras.
