To start working as a Door Supervisor you need to complete the Level 2 award for working as a Door Supervisor in the Private Security Industry.

The course runs over six consecutive days, and it's divided into four units and covers everything from the legal aspects of security to the latest physical intervention techniques.
The most common licence in the private security sector is the SIA Door Supervisor Licence, which entitles you to employment in both security guarding and door supervision positions.
The SIA licence is valid for three years, after which you can choose to 'Top Up' to continue your security career.
